For all the Jazz Heads..

blown away by this from Ronny Jordan - completely fresh reinterperations of his old tracks such as In Full Swing you may remember from the 90s Acid Jazz album "The Quiet Revolution"

Starting to settle into the new studio space over the last few weeks, but starting to face up to the cold reality that the G5 won't work with much more software available soon - time to start saving up for an iMac...

warning: tech musings ahead..

In the meantime, have tricked the Massive Threat instrument [a Kore Soundpack by Native Instruments] to work on the old mac, even though its installer is IntelMac only - very impressed with the sounds so far and has triggered a bunch of ideas aleady!

I'm toying with the idea of getting an 18.5 LCD, if only I can find an LED one that has DVI - some bargains are around if you can put up with analogue VGA.. When one day get the iMac, will rotate the LCD into portrait - will be perfect for lining up tracks in ProTools

one more bit of gear I must dust off [and get some proper tape loops for from the UK some day] - this WEM Copicat tape delay is probably late 60s or very early 70s - makes some of the most garbled delay sounds ever if left to its own devices...
